You know, that actually sounds plausible, despite all my assertions. We figured Die’s doll might get involved again, and this is the first method I’ve heard to do so. Plus, we’d have three Jack Noirs in one place, which would be amusing if nothing else (and a bit of an Ace Dick callback)…
If this happens, maybe it means Die’s doll won’t be important? Or maybe Die’s doll could have gotten to the kids any number of ways, so Slick causing it to happen wouldn’t technically be classified as “important”, just a side-effect that’s ultimately replaceable. I don’t really know.
This DOES teach me a lesson that coming up with absurd-sounding situations on the spot to demonstrate something’s “self-evident implausibility” is liable to come back to bite me, though. I should do it more often, just to accidentally stumble across out of the box ideas.
(Oh, fun fact: if someone like Roxy were to pull out the eight-ball pin, it’s possible that they could find their way to Alternia and back via advanced as hell fuckery, coming back with a functioning Matriorb.)
